Cattle have been in the Americas since the 1500’s, but it wasn’t until the 1880’s that the Cattle Industry began to boom in the United States.  During that time Cattlemen realized the importance of a national association to promote and protect their interests and way of life.  Through this process the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association was formed, though it has taken on several new names it has always served to protect and represent cattlemen.
