Association Programs & Awards

NCBA is committed to developing and recognizing leaders within our industry and rewarding them for their valuable contributions. Several programs have been created over the years to not only further educate cattlemen, but to recognize their efforts for current and innovative practices within the industry. These programs include scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students, Young Cattlemen’s Conference, Environmental Stewardship Award and the Vision Award.

Beef Industry Scholarship

Ten scholarships are awarded annually to undergraduate students with the intent of pursuing a career in the Beef Industry.

Vision Award

The Vision Award recognizes individuals in the cattle industry who have incorporated innovation into their operation that has enhanced not only their business but also the industry as a whole. Applications are evaluated on the basis of effective use of technology, impact on production cost, ingenuity of implementation, innovative marketing, impact on the industry and optimum resource management.

Young Cattlemen's Conference

YCC allows nearly 40 young leaders the chance to see first hand and further understand all aspects of our beef industry. Participants nominated by their state affiliate, make the 10 day trip across country making stops representing all industry segments.

Environmental Stewardship Award

Established in 1991, the Environmental Stewardship Award provides an opportunity for the beef industry to showcase the stewardship, conservation and business practices that work together on farms and ranches.
