Job Title: Part Time Recipe Testing Associate

Reports To:  Director, Test Kitchen Services, Culinary Services

Location:  Denver, CO 

General Responsibilities:
The Recipe Testing Associate is responsible for evaluating mainly beef recipes to determine their accuracy and will make recommendations for improvements.  This position also develops and evaluates package preparation directions, and assists in beef cookery analysis and recommendations.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Prepares previously developed recipes to evaluate cooking times, clarity of directions and quality of the end product - following strict protocols in the process.
  • Makes recommendations for adjustments to cooking times, preparation methods, ingredient levels, etc.
  • Tracks changes and enters work into a database on a regular basis.
  • Procures product for testing purposes on an as-needed basis.
  • Responsible for cleaning of preparation equipment daily and for keeping a clean and safe workspace environment, while maintaining sanitation requirements.
  • Works on various projects and services offered by the Beef Innovation Center.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
The Recipe Testing Associate must possess a culinary, food science certificate and/or degree from an accredited school.  Successful candidate must have at least two years of proven work history with a team approach and must also have a solid knowledge and understanding of culinary skills, processes and industry practices.  This person must also demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.  Database experience is a plus.  Candidate will be a leader, have integrity and strong personal ethics.  The successful candidate will also have the ability to follow stringent quality control measures, be process oriented, and extremely detail oriented.  Some occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required.
