NCBA Governance Task Force

The NCBA Governance Task Force met October 13-14 in Kansas City, Missouri. The purpose of the Task Force representing NCBA members, state affiliates and beef councils is to improve ownership among stakeholders, ensure fair representation among investors, create more integration between NCBA's two divisions, align governance with the Industry Long Range Plan, deliver on NCBA's founding principles of “One Vision-One Plan-One Budget-One-Voice”, and be nimble, efficient and effective.

During its meeting in Kansas City, the Task Force reviewed NCBA's history, mission, vision and strategic plan and the current governance structure.  It worked on different ways to gather information from a broad spectrum of people that participate in NCBA's governance structure.  The Task Force also worked on a process for the governance review.
